My Story...
My nutrition journey has been quite a ride. I survived the "fats are bad" era, overcame an eating disorder in my teenage years, received an IBS diagnosis, explored potential PCOS and endometriosis concerns, and learned the hard way how under-fuelling your body affects performance.
I’ve tried, failed, and succeeded in navigating my diet around these challenges.

"I initially contacted Gunny as a referral from one of my gym friends at Coal Coast Bulli. I was looking to trim up and get on top of my diet. I felt like I was guessing how much food I should consume and wasn't sure of where to go. I also wanted to get on top of my gut health and skin health. I feel like since we have connected, I now have a greater understanding of my food consumption. I'm also more aware of the importance of the consumption of veggies and fruits and supplements.
I have learnt the importance of initially tracking calories if you want to lose weight. I learnt about different supplements that are available to help such as zinc for skin health, fish oil for brain function (if you don't eat a lot of fish) and probiotics for gut health.
I feel like once I had my baseline, I was able to stick to it in terms of calories. I noticed that I was able to lose weight, which was my initial goal. I then wanted to adjust as I had lost an adequate amount of weight and wanted to put muscle on. Gunny was very understanding and was able to adapt to my requirements as they evolved.
